Turbine Mechanic

About the job

In the position of Turbine Mechanic, you will join the Manufacturing department. Together with your qualified colleagues, you will assembly and/or repair our gas turbine (the OP16) in accordance with our specifications, project specific drawings and production planning.

In this job:

  • You will assemble, maintain and/or repair the OP16 gas turbine or parts.
  • You will assist during engine testing.
  • You take care of all required assembly documentation.
  • You pro-actively indicate nonstandard problems and deviations independently and inform the Manager Manufacturing.
  • You maintain your work area, tools and equipment in according with the 5S principle.
  • You provide information to technicians, engineers and other stakeholders and initiate improvements in way of working (product) quality, and safety measures.
  • You ensure a high quality of your work (first time right, on time delivery) by following quality procedures and deadlines.
  • You instruct and motivate new hires and trainees.
  • You are flexible and will help and support colleagues from other departments if required (test cell activities, field service activities).

Our requirements

  • A vocational (MBO 4) work and thinking level.
  • 5 years (or more) of comparable experience in a manufacturing environment or aircraft mechanic.
  • Having a yellow/orange belt is a plus. Having LEAN/Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
  • Important competences are: flexibility, teamwork, accuracy, quality, safety consciousness, communication skills.
  • Speaking Dutch (fluent) and English (conversational) is essential.

About the selection procedure
