Sales Engineer

About the job

As a Sales Engineer at OPRA Turbines you will be responsible for budget and firm quotations and technical/commercial clarifications in the bid phase. Your main goal would be to ensure accurate, aligned and risk minimal sales of our products.

In this role, you ensure that:

  • You provide detailed technical/commercial quotation for qualified leads.
  • You research technical and commercial compatibility of OPRA products with segment specific applications.
  • You support the sales managers and sales directors to enable them to reach sales targets.
  • You keep in close contact with internal stakeholders such as engineers, our product manager and operations.

Your profile

We are looking for a colleague that is a team player, focused on what customers and internal stakeholders need, and has a thorough technical background.

Our requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor (HBO) work and thinking level in Engineering.
  • Fresh graduate. Having 2 years of relevant work experience is a plus. Preferably in a similar market segment (Oil & gas, Industrial CHP, Waste-to-power, Marine).
  • Fluent in English (CEFR C1), both verbal and in writing. Speaking Dutch is a plus.
  • You are in the possession of the Dutch/European citizenship.
  • Excellent communication skills and entrepreneurship;
  • Important competences in this position are: planning and organizing, presentation skills, team work and customer focus.

About the selection procedure

After reviewing the received applications, OPRA Turbines will contact the applicants of interest for a first selection interview. In the second selection round the candidate is asked to prepare a presentation/pitch based on a case. Moreover, another interview will take place and a tour around our facility will be provided.
